Does anyone know....
why the boy in the cricket scene is wearing leaves on his hat? I asked my husband but he didn't know either. Thanks!

sharePossibly from the classical tradition of a crown of laurel leaves representing athletic (or other) victory? Also, in Greek mythology, Apollo is represented wearing a laurel wreath on his head, and this fits in nicely with Leo's image of himself as "messenger of the gods."
"You must sing him your prettiest songs, then perhaps he will want to marry you."
But as I recall, it was his blond friend who wore the leaves. Maybe from a previous victory?
