S0 ...did Leo go to the house at the end? In the book, it is left ambiguous - it ends at the house comes into view. In the film, Leo motions to the driver to drive on but the last shot is of a car at the big house (Leo's? another flashback?)

I took the car parked in front to be Marion's grandson's car. In other words, he was at home if Leo cared to visit.

I think he told the Grandson everything that happened. Simply because Marion was his first love.

Yes, there is one shot where we see the grandson. To me, that wouldn't happen unless Old Leo - our eyes - had visited to tell the tale and thus deliver "one last message."
