Robert Redford's favorite movie (one of)

Was just reading an interview with Redford (c. 1984) where he listed his three favorite movies: TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN and GLEN AND RANDA ("The most original American film I've ever seen.")

It's hard to believe that the grandaddy of American Independent Film doesn't have enough pull in Hollywood to get one of his favorite movies released on DVD.

My guess is that he is 'way embarrassed about that quote now.

Or maybe Jim McBride sent him a case of scotch, and he just figured, "Fine, I'll pop it one plug."

Or maybe he just actually liked the movie and isn't embarrassed at all.
