I saw this in a sold out theater that seated over 500 people. When it ended, 5 of us were still there.

Not enough exitement for the teeming masses, eh? Not enough blood and/or guts? Most thoughtful movies have small audiences, nothing surprising about that.

Maybe it just sucked, most suckful movies have small audiences, nothing surprising about that.

reply

Also nothing surprising when people who don't get a movie think it's "suckful."

I'm a Cinemajunkie !

I'm embaresed to say. I liked it. It was fun in thougth provoking sort of way.

I gotta say that if such a catastrophic event were to take place.

I believe that some of the survivors would behave as some of the characters in this film.

I was ok.

I'm a huge MST3K fan, but I can't really see the connection between G&R and the films that MST3K riffed.

reply

ummm......maybe because it sucked enough to be worthy of MST3K treatment?

It was 6-8 years after the film came out. The screening was part of a multiple-day science fiction film festival at a college campus. It was the second half of a double-bill after Logan's Run or Zardoz. Believe me now?

Other double-bills stayed full of audience until the end, by the way...

It's not that bad. It's actually a cute, likeable movie.
