The crap music in the club?

I know it was the early 70's, but what the hell was the dung that was playing in the nightclub full of weird dancers when Carter chased Thorpey?

"Dung" is putting too positive a spin on it :-/

It's only in movies from the 60's & 70's you hear crap music like this being played in clubs and discos. In the real world they'd be playing the latest hits.

That was pretty interesting IMO. Weird but intriguing.

Same riff but with added sax

sounded a bit like "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" - Iron Butterfly

I'd have thought they would have afforded a bit of Northern Soul, or late '60's Soul?

I noticed that in Dirty Harry, also a cynical and iconic film made in '71, that cr4p music was used in the scene where Harry shadows the killer in the strip club.
