There is a sequel to this movie called "Paul and Michelle". It begins three years after Paul and Michelle were separated at the end of the original. They did not see eachother during these three years because of Paul's father interfering. But, they reconnect and try to keep their relationship going despite the stresses of work and college. There is also another man in Michelle's life that she met during the three years her and Paul were apart, he tries to interfere in her and Paul reconciling. The sequel is really good too, you should check it out.

I have to disagree with you here. "Friends" ended at just the right place, and if you don't believe me, watch the sequel. I loved "Friends", but the sequel "Paul and Michelle" was so bad it almost sucked all the romance out of the original.

I had recently bought this movie from Hollywood video (since there selling all te VHS tapes) i thought this movie was really interesting so i bought it.

I agree the movie was really GOOD up until the ending. I was like WTF!! it cant end like this. I wanted to see what happend when Paul got to work and the cops were waiting for him. What happend to Michelle when she realized Paul wasnt coming home. It shouldn't have ended that way. Damn it! Now i gotta go and search for the sequal. Anyone know where i can find it??

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but you all make it sound like the movie went unresolved (until the sequel). What more is there to say? They were separated by Paul's father.

...weren't they?

I love the ending of Friends - it's haunting. It keeps you thinking about it long after it's over.
Paul & Michelle was okay (loved seeing the two characters together again), but Friends is the real masterpiece.

Yea, the end sucked. But it's pretty obvious what happened. I just wonder what happened to Michelle. I guess I'll have to see Paul and Michelle to know what happened next.
