Pierre Nicoli the hitman - pure Z

I just saw the movie, "Z" , for the first time. This is obviously a very influential film. Obviously Pierre Nicoli was cast in the French Connection, because of his casting in the movie, "Z" . His street clothes even look similar.

Anything else known about this incredible casting? Very interesting to see him in another role - as opposed to the very one sided character from French Connection.

These are two great movies. Z, is highly recommended. A classic in its own right of course.

My accountant says, 1 + 1, 40% of the time, equals divorce.

Wikipedia says that on the Collector's Edition DVD commentary Friedkin mentions "Z" being an influence.
I think I tried to watch "Z" in the past but never got through it maybe I should give it another try...

I saw Z in a movie theater about 3 years ago. I thought it was interesting and provocative - if not quite great. Also of note, Bernard Fresson, who co-starred with Hackman in FC II, is also featured in Z.
