Region 1 DVD?
Anyone know a way to get Doves in region 1? [email protected] - email me if you know.

shareNo. Sorry.
This is most frustrating. Not only is it not available on DVD for region 1, but I can't even seem to find it on videotape (VHS). The only chance I can think of for getting this movie is to either wait for the R 1 DVD or for it to show up on TV so I can tape it. And either way it could be a VERY long wait.

I've been looking for it everywhere as well, with no luck.
Yet purchasing the Region 2 DVD would give me an excuse to visit Europe for a while...
[EDIT] I just bought an extremely rare Region 1 VHS on eBay that I have yet to be sent to me. Once I get it I'm thinking of burning it onto a DVD and then uploading it, so I'll tell you the link if I do so.[/EDIT]

There is another solution:
Region Free DVD players are not that expensive. Just google for Region Free DVD, you'll see several suppliers. They'll play any region, and handle PAL and NTSC without a hitch. The output will play on any TV.
Then, you'll be free to get the DVD from anywhere.
Is now available as a dvd-r directly from www.sonypictures.com

I just got a copy from Amazon.com.
