DVD in Anchor Bay Herzog Set

I recently bought the Werner Herzog box se which includes Fata Morgana. The packaging for the disc says Lessons of Darkness with Fata Morgana, and the artwork for the disc itself says Fata Morgana, but I can't find the film on the disc for the life of me. Its not in extras, it just seems to be Lessons of Darkness. Is there supposed to be another disc?

reply

you gotta turn the disc over, its a double sided DVD !!!

There are two versions of the set being sold. The original version has a single sided disc with "Fata Morgana" graphics but actually contains "Lessons of Darkness".

The corrected set has a double-sided disc with no graphics but both movies.

So, if you have no graphics on the disc you are good to go.

If your disc has "Fata Morgana" graphics, then you have the bad set and need to see if you can get Anchor Bay to replace that disc for you.

Apparently it's supposed to be a double-sided disc, or some such. For some reason, it isn't.

I recommend going to here http://www.anchorbayentertainment.com/index.asp?p=FAQ_Problem and reporting it. They should send you a replacement.

Update on the DVD set:

I just bought the Werner Herzog Collection box set, and they have introduced a new disc configuration. One of the slim cases is a 2-disc case, and it contains a disc for Lessons of Darkness and another disc for Fata Morgana.

I've watched Fata Morgana and Heart of Glass with no problems.

I'll edit this post once I verify the integrity of the remaining discs in the set.
