Hayley Mills as an American

I love her as an actress. I think she's beautiful. The Parent Trap and other movies of her youth were some of my favorites growing up. She can do other UK accents (see Gypsy Girl), but the girl could not do American. Before I was old enough to realize it, I always wondered why she "talked differently" in the Parent Trap. Time in the states and years of experience didn't take away her very English way of speaking.

"I have a sca-a-athingly brilliant idea." Yeah, there was a bit of a Brit accent in Trouble with Angels. I just sort of imagined it as, uh, upper class Yankee?

Yeah...when Mike immediately upon meeting her says "You're American aren't you?", I was like "where the hell do you get that?" She was hopeless at an American accent.
