Thoughtful TV movie from Warner Archives

Just watched it on DVD after 40 years. Thoughtful, well-paced film about the nuclear arms race. Good effects for the early 70s, warhead defusing sequence well done. Liked the theme too. I hope more TV movies from the golden age of TV movies get released. The 90 min ones were tight stories well done.

I remember seeing the beginning of this when I was young; but, alas, bedtime called before I could see the rest. I just finished watching it and it's decent, for the time. The 2001 influence is obvious but they don't go for a carbon copy.

I've been impressed with the Warner Archives catalog, so far. A lot of cult material has been made available and there is a nice diversity of product, across the decades. As a sci-fi fan, I have been very happy with the offerings. I hope they keep it up to include things like Futureworld, since I doubt they will do a commercial pressing. It would be nice if they would release some of their cartoon series this way, as they seem to be reluctant to release some of the older material, like the Herculoids. Universal and Sony have taken small steps in this path; it would be nice to see them expand their offerings.
