Just do a remake of this already...
And give you a complete back story of the truck driver
share
They had a backstory written, but the movie was over budget on time.
I didn't read it. Rather now just see a remake with a white angry woman as the truck driver harassing a hard working black motorist

Now thats ridiculous to be honest. This movie left too many open ended themes. Besides the mysterious truck driver, what was up with the bus and those kids? Where were they going? Where were they from? What about the snake lady at the gas station. When did she start collecting snakes? Just too many unresolved issues here

Good points, but the bus was actually on the way to Camp North Star, where pre-teens would spend the summer filled with adventure and mirth with Bill Murray and other assorted wacky counselors.
The snake lady though is a mystery.
Remake…. Ok …. Truck chases car…. Person in car calls police on mobile phone. Truck driver arrested
shareNo. keep the setting in 1971. And make the truck driver even nastier. Have him slam that bus off a cliff instead of helping it. Then have the huge payoff at the end where it explodes
shareWell then if you want to keep same setting then it even more does not need a remake. You’re taking away the Spielberg touch for another director without spielbergs quality for an explosion? What’s wrong with you!
shareI want a duel remake with more action. How cool would it be to see the car and truck racing down the highway, jumping from mountains, similar to the stunts depicted in the Fast and Furious movies. Lets also see the truck ram directly into that school bus instead of helping it. But most of all, lets see a huge explosion after the truck goes down the cliff
shareOr just create a new title and new film
shareLOL
exactly.
It's already perfect. We don't need a remake.
shareYea but this time we can get a big explosion at the end when the truck goes off the cliff. Plus we can get some kind of backstory on the truck driver
shareLOL
shareToday the truck would be electric, no smoke allowed.
The main character would probably be a strong lesbo .
Not only a lesbo but she needs to be white, while the victim is a black man. Its been mentioned on a prior post that if it is set today instead of the 70s, the driver could just call the police on his cell phone for help. Well how about if the victim is afraid to call the police knowing full well about police brutality towards people of color
