Why didn't he climb out of the car when being chased by the truck and jump to the front of the truck and run up it to the truck window and punch the driver through the window and then throw him out of the door and slide into the driver's seat and honk the horn in derision and say "Honk You!"? Doesn't make sense and insults your intelligence with all the stuff he did when he could have easily done what I said above.

I’m not sure what you mean. That’s just what I do whenever I get into those types of situations. At least when I was a bit younger. Nowadays, I just plug my portable time machine into the lighter socket and go back to a point just before I met the crazed trucker and take a different route.
shareThe guy in the car could've outrun that truck on the open highway, or driven down a street or alley too narrow for the truck to follow.

shareUpon further consideration, the driver should have just got out of his car, stood in the middle of the road and punched downward into the asphalt causing a shockwave to radiate out in all directions and disable the truck. Easy peasy.
