where's highway patrol?
Don't they have any troopers or anything by the highways?
shareOut in the deserted areas of the West it is very possible to travel for miles and miles w/o seeing a Highway Patrol car. The areas covered are so large and there are no large population centers in many areas. Years ago when I traveled out West the HP used planes for checking the large areas. Look on a map at some of the states out West. Lots of desolate roads with few towns, especially big ones. It's next to impossible for a thinned out HP Department to be everywhere...
shareJust try going about 20 mph over the speed limit and they will find you.
sharethe area where they filmed that is up on the Cajon Pass by Devore, CA. It's a section of old rt. 66. I used to go up there and train watch a lot. You could be there for hours on end and never see a Highway Patrol or county sheriff, even though I-15 is just over the hill.
A heart can be broken, but it still keeps a-beatin' just the same.
Out west, there are counties that only have five-man sheriff's departments. So LE is generally spread out in the less populated areas due to less need.
shareI was wondering the same thing. Not one trooper the entire way? But others have already answered this I guess.
