I last saw this movie when I was very young, so only have sketchy memories of it, including pirate pigs! I would love to watch it again, if only just to finally make sense of the bits-and-pieces memories I have. And now I hear that Miyazaki was the key animator, hopefully someone will be keen to get it onto DVD, and make it available to Australia. Hope I'm not wishing too much!
shareI agree, it would be great to see it again especially since all of the pre-ghibli films have as much class as Miyazaki and co's recent outings. This movie is a really good little film and has allot of charm and character. shareNot only was Miyazaki key animator on this film, he was also story consultant, and therefore had a great deal of creative control over the film. He also wrote and drew the comic while the movie was in production.
