That's what I was wondering, now that "The Snoop Sisters" is being released on DVD this year.

I thought this WAS part of the Snoop Sisters series and I remember this when I was real small.

I'm surprised they just didn't include it with the Snoop Sisters, which I got on DVD. What harm would it have posed? All the major principles are gone, may they rest in peace.

That's always the holdup on releasing things to the public. They seem to wait until everyone is gone before they toss them out there so easily.

Basically. The networks decided to trim the number of ladies from four to two for the series.

Ellen McNulty: Oh, go on, I've stepped on better things.

Actually, no. Producer, writer, and director credits are all different for the two programs, as well as this being an ABC-tv movie and the series was on NBC. What probably happened was Helen Hayes was signed to star in an revolving series for NBC's Sunday night mysteries and the networks decided to add Mildred Natwick as the sister after remembering their chemistry in this tv film. It certainly does "look" similiar though given Hayes and Natwick are starring together in a mystery as busybodies but that's about as far as the tie goes.
