Would this movie be any different (for better or worse) if...

... Sean Connery had been in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (spoilers for that movie coming up)? I ask this because me and my dad are doing a rundown of the Bond flicks until Spretre comes out, and I was surprised to find how much I enjoyed OHMSS and how it tried to dramatically elevate the character. That one ended with Bond's newly wedded wife, Tracy, getting killed by Blofeld. Then Diamonds Are Forever (one I actually admit enjoying a little more than some of the other Connery movies) begins with Bond fiercely searching for Blofeld, but then I noticed that there had been no mention of Blofeld killing Tracy in the previous film and the scenes between Bond and Blofeld didn't feel like one of these men killed the other's wife. Diamonds Are Forever was basically a follow up to You Only Live Twice. If Connery had done OHMSS (which I wish he did), they probably would have carried the plot of Tracy over the subsequent movie. How different do you think it would be?
