Funniest part of the film.

Apparently part of training for a lunar mission involves moving really slowly.
Ha!!!
Bond runs at full speed across the mock up lunar landscape at the space facility in the desert, followed by security guys. Yet the training astronauts move in slow motion to catch him like they are supposed to be weightless.

For me, the funniest part was when Bond returns with Plenty O'Toole to her darkened room, she goes off into the bathroom, then the Slumber Inc. henchmen turn on the lights with their guns pointed at him, and Bond replies, as cool as ever, "I'm afraid you've caught me with more than just my hands up."

reply

Bambi and Thumper....that's the funniest part to me.

reply

"As you can see, Mr. Bond, the satellite is at present over... Kansas. Well, if we destroy Kansas the world may not hear about it for years."

Noone pays attention to what happens in Kansas.

reply

Yep, me too: "I'm afraid you've caught me with more than my hands up...", with a slight smile crossing his face.

Also, "Blow up your pants". Not so much the line, it's her mildly exasperated expression and delivery, corker.

Free your mind and the rest will follow

How about when Jimmy Dean aka WW picks up the phone, gets the news that a missile has been blown up,turns to Bond and says " Whatever is happening has just begun"...... funniest grammar ever!

reply

For me it was .....When Bond thinks he kills the right Blofeld by observing the cat. After he kills the wrong one, the right one tells him "Right idea Mr. Bond". Mr. Bond refers, "But wrong pussy." It cracks me up at times.

reply

A pussy is a cat. But have your crack if it makes you gay!

reply

Mr Wint sitting in Mrs. Whistler's office putting on perfume. He cracks me up.

reply

"Wooooooooo !"

reply

he does looks like a real smelly guy.

I'm with the Mattress Police. There are no tags on these mattresses.

I'm Klaus Hergersheimer, G- section. Here to check radiation shields...

reply

Yeah, I was just about to open a topic about it. The whole segment with Bond at the back of the truck all the way to the chase with the moon truck. HILARIOUS! :D

reply

Badges, not shields. You must take Klaus Hergersheimer seriously. G section is there for YOUR protection.

reply

Blofeld. In. Drag.

reply

Walks towards girl "B***H"

reply

"Bert Saxby? Tell him he's fired!"

"I got a brudder".

reply

Blofeld escaping my dressing like a drag queen carrying a lrge, white cat. I mean, who would ever notice that?

reply

Blofeld escaping my dressing like a drag queen carrying a lrge, white cat.
Oh God, I forgot about that! Hilarious!

When I read the thread title I thought that the message would just read
"watching Lana Wood try to act."

reply

Ha! I think Lana Wood was Oscar material compared to Denise Richards in "The World Is Not Enough"

reply

Scene at casino "hi ! , I am plenty". Bond replies "But of course you are !"Ha

reply

I actually like the second zinger better.

"Plenty O'Toole".

"Named after you father, perhaps?"

I love to love my Lisa.

reply

Haha , to be honest I didn't catch that at first later I got to know what his response meant.Btw when he says of course you are , he does mean it because of her , you know breasts , right ? (Not explicit word , I hope.)

reply

[deleted]

No, he said it so he could fuck her.

reply

Professor Dr. Metz. what is a professor Dr? haha! Now will you please leave you irritating man?

I just saw a part in the film, that I had never noticed before (there's a James Bond marathon playing on broadcast TV this weekend).

When taking off from Holland to Los Angeles, Mr Kidd says "I must say, Miss Case seems quite attractive... For a Lady" And when Mr Wint gives him a glare (jealous wife-like) he chuckles 'he he he'...

And, I just realized/found out, that Mr Wint (Bruce Glover) is Crispin Glover's father... (similiar looks and acting)

There 'are' many funny parts in this film (its probably the most 'tongue in cheek' Bond film, but they play out better than most of the others (later films, like MoonRaker are just painful).
