Plot Question please...

I recently re-watched this, and I still cannot figure something out. Mrs. Graves supported Richard through the whole movie and lied for him and protected him, etc. Even after he destroyed the grocery store and her loom, etc.
And then she had a dream one night and suddenly wanted to get rid of him? Did I miss something? I don't understand why she changed her mind so suddenly.
