14 when I heard good things about this in books and magazines, I decided to rent it and became one of my fave sci-fi films

I was either 10 or 11. Even though it was banned in the U.K. in 98 my local video store unofficially had a few copies to rent.
My mum told me she went to see it in the cinema in 71 but when I called her up on only having been 13 at the time this was when I was introduced to the concept of sneaking into over 15 films in the cinema. At that point in my life it hadn't occurred to me to do that :D

Anyone else own the paperback? Pretty hard to keep the last 20 or so pages from falling out by the time it got passed from friend to friend. и теперь я говорю по-русски.
