Artificial chest??

I was just reading Ebert's review and he mentions something about A-M having an "artificial chest" in this film What's that all about?

"Do these come in funny shapes?"

"No. ...Unless round is funny."

reply

I think Ebert doesn't really know what he's talking about. By the way, on Ebert's website there's an report about A-M from that time where they touch that topic. Roger Smith, her husband, says that he couldn't understand how anybody could think it wasn't her real chest.
Considering the fact that A-M gained weight on her whole body for the movie, I think it can be said that it's very very certainly her real chest.

I didn't think her breasts looked impossibly large. I really liked her in this movie as well as her character.

Well, I've heard that Ann was enhanced artificially . . . and permanently.

I asked the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

Despite the claims of some history impaired posters, women have been getting implants since 1895; silicone since 1961.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

I heard A-M gained 30lbs for the part & 20lbs of it went to the right spots! Some women are lucky that way...most women would gain 30lbs & it would all be in their gut, but not A-M! She gains 30lbs & most of it went to her tits!

and they're spectacular!!!

People, PLEASE. Yes, she gained weight for "Carnal Knowledge." And when she lost it, she miraculously maintained a new, enormous bosom. Silicone implants were available and A-M. got 'em. She never had a big bust before "CK", just very good bras. (She was not flat-chested. simply not as bosomy as she was made to appear in her early films.) She was also doing Vegas by this time. The bigger boobs were more flashy.

Oh come on, you're talking nonsense now.

There is no book with that name. Show me proof it exists. Secondly, the 60s mention gave you away. Her chest size was consistent throughout the 1960s, there is no difference in her size from Bye Bye Birdie straight through the TV specials of 1968-69.

Stop pretending you know something you don't, and why would a Swedish writer have access to information you can't find anywhere else?

She's Swedish-born but she's lived most of her life in the States, so, why would a Swedish writer know for sure she had implants when this has never been mentioned in any other book, article, etc. about her?

Ah yes, but don't you think you look silly, too? Anyway, thanks for ignoring my comment about her chest size in the 60s, you obviously cannot put anything against it. If that book dates a surgery into the 60s, it's most obviously a lie.

lmao that was one of the funniest/most pointless IMDB arguments I have ever seen! well played by both sides!

however, i am with floydianer. i cant find any source, including "red headed demon" that says she did have implants!

Now... where was I?

A-M's teats were substantially bigger in this movie than in any she'd done in the previous 10 years (you need only watch her films to confirm). I've always assumed she was among the first with silicone breast prosthesis.

Ebert should't really talk about artificial chests....refer to Beyond the Valley of the Dolls...

Really, Roger.

Swing away, Merrill....Merrill, swing away...
