Deleted scenes?

I don't understand the low ratings on this title. Great film, nicely shot and much better story than alot of other spaghetti westerns of this time frame. This script was written to be funny in a very dry way("Yellow Snake Canyon? It's full of snakes!!") and I guess some folks don't get it that way...

Wondering if anyone can identify some deleted scenes?

Kinda strange this runs only 97 minutes when most of these type of films of this period ran nearer to two hours.

I've always thought it strange the way his character is introduced in the film; by just walking in a hotel and handing over a coin. Very 'uneventful' introduction and doesn't quite feel right.

Also strange that he is shown on the cover of some DVD's and in the opening titles dressed as an indian with headband and never appears that way in the movie. He then says to the indians he does meet while stripping down, "Do I have to do this every time I talk to an indian?"

Anyone have some input?

I just couldnt understand how anyone, indian or otherwise, found it more acceptable to talk to him after making him strip from his cavalry uniform to a loin cloth and a cooking oil sun tan. The macho posturing just added to that absurdity.

In fairness i did understand the principles that were supposed to underpin the event in the scene.

Its just one of those occurances where the execution on film was so absurdly over done,
Like you say, it was a laugh inducing attempt for LV Cleef to leverage his buff sex appeal on screen,
it compleatly subverted the scene to more rediculous interpretations.

But thats what i like about the film, it really made me laugh hard.

I've still yet to find areasonably priced copy. I'll get round to getting at some point i suspect.

my partner introduced me to this and swears she remembers seeing it on late night TV while at University. The version she said she saw then contained at least one more scene with 'the Witch' but *shrugs* either she's mistaken or the DVDs all come from a severely 'reduced' print.
