The demonic forces that are surrounding the town, due to the satanic riturals about to take place, can enter toys and make them kill parents and anyone around that could get in the way of the satanists and their need for children. You see, long ago, there was a group of elderly people and they sold their soul to Satan for youth. They must perform a satanic ritural sometime in their declining years so that their souls will enter a child, thus them being able to live more years.
It is VERY disturbing, probably more graphic and disturbing than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I concur. "The Brotherhood of Satan" is a nicely creepy and offbeat early 70's low-budget horror gem. Strother Martin in particular is terrific as the blithely sinister leader of the evil sect. Nice eerily ambiguous ending, too. And the abundant spooky atmosphere is well sustained throughout.
Look nonchalant and keep on smiling.
