I remember this movie as a kid and it really gave me nightmares. I recently got it again and really enjoyed it. Its got some really good acting, a good story, and its not the cheese fest lots of the 70's horror flicks usually are. It makes you use your brain and thats always a plus for me :) I really think this movie got a raw deal with the rating system on IMDB and think that some people just can't appreciate certain movies because they are either too stupid or too brainwashed by the mainstream to think for themselves and enjoy movies like this for what they are and not what people want them to be. If you like horror or a good psychological thriller try this movie and you won't be disappointed.

Hey, I just watched this and totally agree. I rented it from blockbuster online and plan to buy it. I love finding great but little known movies. The ending couldn't have been scarier or fit better!

I thought it was quite good. The film did drag quite a bit, and I am someone who loves when a film takes time to tell a story & build characters.
The driving scene near the beginning went on too long, and the ceremony scenes were a little too long too.
The ending was perfect though, and that is something that is almost NEVER EVER seen in any film, then or now!
This movie creeped me out I must say.

Yes, I just finished watching it and I thought it was great as well. It was suspenseful, atmospheric, and very creepy. The story was well written and well acted. I am surprised by the low rating it has on here.
