Okay why/how did it go from night to daylight at the end?

Well, the search party were looking for the little girl all night apparently and when they finally found the old house and broke in upstairs, daylight had come around and basically, the ceremony was over and normality (or what appeared to be normality) came back...for now until the time comes around again.
