`living in a Palace is so full of phalluses`??

Did I mishear the `Room in Bloomsbury` song, or does the Tony character really say `living in a Palace is so full of phalluses`? That line makes no sense and is very inappropriate, but that`s what it sounds like. The only other word that might sound like `phalluses` is `fallaces`, but that doesn`t make any sense either, and might not be a real word.

The mere idea of living in a palace is
So full of fallacies

(It's an amusingly terrible rhyme!)

"Please! You're not at home!"

You're not the only one to think that! We did 'The Boy Friend' in high school, and I played Tony - my music teacher, who was a brilliant guy (He had a doctorate in music, wrote for art magazines, had a show on the radio etc), was a big Ken Russell fan, a Sandy Wilson fan, AND a Peter Maxwell Davies fan, so I trusted his judgement when he told me that I should sing "fallacies" as "phalluses" because he figured that's what Wilson intended. I found out later that he was as camp as a row of tents, so I not sure how much of that was really his reading of the text, or just an excuse to throw in a smutty joke...

By now, you know it was "fallacies," not "phalluses," but I like your interpretation better!
