The Boy Friend is now on DVD, as of April 12, 2011, at the WB Shop. But you probably can buy it anywhere online: Movies Unlimited, Critics Choice, etc. Yeah!

Correction .... it's on DVD-R, not DVD! Not all players will play DVD-Rs so you need to check yours before ordering. ALSO, new titles are exclusive to wbshop.com for two months (from release date) before they're available at any other online stores. In this case, no other store could offer/sell it before June 12, 2011.

And, frighteningly, Warner Archive's site lists the aspect ratio as 16x9 instead of 2.20 as it's listed here. So we'll have to sweat it out until we see the DVD wondering whether it's letterboxed or cropped.

Okay, how about the other stuff from the theatrical release: Overture, Entr'Acte, etc.

I finally got this film...been waiting years! BUT Warner brothers skimped! The menu has only "start" and "special features" NO SCENE SELECTION! Cheeseyand stupid, cutting corners! If the film "skips" or "stalls", you have to forward back to the scene you lost.
