I found this at the Dollar Store

However, that doesn't mean it is bad. It was actually a different movie from the heavily romanticized films of the period. The early 70s weren't all wonderful. A relatively well off man (Segal) descends into madness, humiliation, and dehumanization due to his heroin addiction. It was not a pretty film. In the end, he is abandoned, sitting on a park bench, and shivering in the cold of Manhattan. It is a gritty view of what life can be like in NYC if you take the wrong path in life. Look for Robert DeNiro's first noticeable role as a police officer.
