I looked him up and he seems to have vanished anybody knows what became of him?

I have no idea...but he was great in 'Dracula Has Risen From The Grave'.

It's odd, both Linda Hayden and Barry Andrews were in Hammer Dracula Films.

Miss. Hayden was in the follow-up to 'Risen...', 'Taste The Blood of Dracula'.

He just faded away, really.

This news article from 2001 would indicate that he brought up his family in Hammersmith and his son caused him some grief.

"...Eyjolfur Andrews, 24, the son of actor Barry Andrews who has appeared in The Bill, shot and killed barrister's clerk Amaranath Bandaratilleka, 32, during a robbery at a newsagents in Hammersmith.

Andrews opened fire with his sawn-off shotgun when Mr Bandaratilleka, who was in the shop at the time of the hold-up, handed over only 26p. Andrews, of Hammersmith, who was 16 at the time of the robbery, was convicted in 1993. His minimum sentence before becoming eligible for parole was set at 12 years by the Home Secretary. In 1999 it was cut to 11 years. ..."

What became of Barry Andrews?

He decided he preferred fronting The Who (with his real name) to acting under a pseudonym: https://binged.it/2UlpZVV
