A great combination of two horror genres...

I'm watching this one right now
for the very first time
on the COMET Channel  .

I agree it's really twisted crazy
and a bit ahead of it's time
for a 1971 film - but really good so far too    .

IMPO - The beginning scene of this film reminded me
a lot of the William Castle movie
" Straitjacket " from 1964
( of course the murder weapon of choice
in this movie was different )    .

I saw this about 36 years ago and haven't seen it since, but I have the bluray and this this was as good as I remembered it to be.
