I bought the Jerski DVD, it does not play on my DVD player. The funny thing is a own dozens of bootlegs that all work, but not his.

reply

Yeah I got 3 from jerksi - the big gundown, face to face and matalo. He restored TBG and matalo himself, and he restored Blindman which ive been trying to get but hes very popular.

On DVDirect on Ebay they're selling it, region-free.

Is this Jerski's DVD of Blindman in Widescreen?

UPDATE:

Well, I checked his ebay post and it is. But he's is a bootleg, and there is another seller selling an original version of it in Widescreen, with 3 different language options and a few extras.

You refer to the German Edition by Koch Media which is, in my book, quite superior and absolutely recommendable. The English language Track is included on this release, though in a somewhat weak quality. But the image, the packaging (Digipack) and the extras are great!

Does anybody have a list of Euro-westerns they enjoy,
specifically looking for westerns that are German,or
from other parts of Europe, other than the Spain-based
productions ?? Thanks for any help.

reply

If I'll think of it, I will post a few titles. If you're looking for German Westerns specifically - there aren't many. But you have to check out Roland Klick's DEADLOCK, it's amazing, thought not a 100 % Western, Germany probably never got closer (if the Karl May Movies don't count as such).

Any of the German produced Winnetou movies with Lex Barker and Pierre Brice are highly recommended. They are uniformly excellent. They were for the most part filmed in Yugoslavia and have a unique look to them.

reply

Jody Klein is in talks to release it for region 1.

This movie is available from Videoasia as part of the ten film box set "Spaghetti Western Bible Volume 3." The flick is presented widescreen in a decent quality print, but alas it's only 83 minutes long. I purchased this box set for fifteen dollars at a local Best Buy.

"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"
