Lorna's Shrieking

It sounds demonic. I know she is frantic, suffering, sick, desperate and dying. Could it be, too, that this place twists good into what APPEARS and SOUNDS to be evil when it is in fact its antithesis?

On a side note, Lorna was simply beautiful. She was also very clear-eyed and level-headed. I have a feeling it was her husband who lost his direction in the desert and not Lorna's guidance at the very beginning of the film. What ensues is just a continuation of this same theme.
