Dog-Indian-Alternate ending-and scene jump

We just watched Big Jake again and I saw things I never saw before, and found some things missing.
The opening in black and white introducing the bad guys I never recall seeing.
But thought there was more to Dogs death(maybe because it had traumatized me as a small child) and didn't remember the Indian getting killed with a machete.
But what I thought was wierd was at the campfire--Jake is talking to Pat Waynes character about an injury, calls Dog(as if to ask for his assistance), then it jumped to Pat being pinned down as he is helped....with no flow of connection---anyone else see this?
Also I do remember another ending, where they get back to the ranch and Bobby Vintons character is alive, standing there bandaged up but fine(can't remember rest)---but no one else seems to have seen this either. So did it happen? Have to go look for my copy and check.
