First feature to contain CGI?

Westworld is credited as the first feature film in history to contain CGI, but I know computers were made in this movie too.
On trivia about Westworld, it is written "The first use of computer digitized images as part of a feature film (not merely monitor graphics) was the Gunslinger's point of view in Westworld."

I havn't seen this movie myself, but was the computer graphics in this movie "merely monitor graphics", or was it something more advanced?

I don't believe they were CG but rather "monitor graphics" combined with clever analog fx and lighting. It's explained in the DVD material.
HOWEVER! It's possibly the first movie that shows a touch screen operated by stylus! How many people had ~heard of~ anything like that in 1971?

Uh, they had handheld computerized thingies with styluses on the original "Star Trek", so this movie can't take credit for that one.
