Nifty credit sequence

The eerie credit sequence in this films brings out my sadly neglected macabre side. I like the titles for THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN, KLUTE, TOTAL RECALL(1990) and anything by Saul Bass. What does everyone like for titles?

I'd have to say mine is Vertigo

With the eye spiral and just the flourish of colors, amazing! :)

You're right, "Chub", VERTIGO, PSYCHO, NORTH BY NORTHWEST, and MAD,MAD, WORLD all by Saul Bass. Also CHARADE, TWO FOR THE ROAD, or anything by Maurice Binder. Other significant titles include SHIP OF FOOLS, THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR, SHOT IN THE DARK, and RUTHLESS PEOPLE.

Hey folks,

I seem to have no memory of the opening credit sequence of any films until someone describes an opening sequence, and then I think, "I remember that!" The only opening sequence that I always seem to remember is from "Grand Prix" with all the multi-panel shots and various competing sounds.

Best wishes,

You should also include the spoken-only credits of FAHRENHEIT 451 (since reading was banned).

CONTACT opener was good.

It's an obvious choice, but the thematically similar The Satan Bug has a pretty good albeit very short title sequence - an animation of a body's cells being killed by a virus.

Yes, even before the credits start - that whole (mentioned elsewhere, I did) "disclaimer" and "Thank you" to the Wildfire Group for the making of "this film". Just pulls you right in, as if some docu-drama! It sets you up or , "Holy crap, this stuff is Real!" the whole time you are watching the movie.
