TV better. The sets feel more intimate, and the boisterous laughter from the studio audience adds something the film is really lacking.

In the main I agree. But I personally think that the "Arthur Puty" sketch works better with God than it does with the bandit.

Having seen all the TV episodes, I have to say that the TV skits were much better. The movie doesn't seem to have the raw energy that the TV ones did.
