Hey, nice to hear from you Sir!

You must have had a great time on those sets - is there any particular episode that you were filming that immediately springs to mind as most enjoyable?

reply

I worked on the show for many months mainly as a stand/in for Tony Curtis and sometimes Roger. It was a great show to work on and all the cast and crew got on well together. It was also good to see the guest artists turn up on new episodes. There are a couple of pics on my website.
BTW..People call me....

Thank You, Aitch...

Great Website - what a CV!

Also, on your time on "The Persuaders!" it must have been a joy to see the Dino and the Aston Martin DBS up close - I take it you got a shot at driving these vehicles?

reply

Didn't get to drive any cars, worked mainly in Pinewood studios

Cool photos of you in Doctor Who and Star Wars! Really like that Doctor Who uniform.

Five Miles to Midnight, without a doubt

Actually, I like them all, but to limit it to a Top 5:

1. The Old, the New & the Deadly (Danny's scene in the hotel...priceless!)
2. Overture (am I the only one who loves "Gotta Get Away"?)
3. Greensleeves
4. Someone Like Me (serious in tone)
5. The Man in the Middle (Tery-Thomas!)

This list will no doubt change...but for now, these are the top five.

Four years later and my list *has* changed! Now it looks like:

1. Anyone Can Play
2. Overture
3. Greensleeves
4. Chain of Events
5. A Home of One's Own

A Death in the Family and the Ozerov Inheritance.

Hi All,

I would add Chain of Events to the list, which was particularly exciting for me.

I can't pick a favorite, every single episode is a classic and it's impossible to pick one as being the best, at least for me.

"Chain of Events" is my favourite.

The one where a couple of relatives to Bret Sinclair is murdered.
I like that episode cause Roger Moore plays 3 of the Sinclair relatives, including his aunt.
Hilarious ending when Danny Wilde´s aunt makes an apperance. She´s played by...Tony Curtis =)

The one where a couple of relatives to Bret Sinclair is murdered
That's "A Death in the Family" which is my first favourite.

Then:

A Home of One's Own
Someone Like Me

The Morning After
The Man in the Middle
The Gold Napoleon
Element of Risk

reply

I'll say my top 10 in no particular order are:

1. A Home Of Ones Own
2. Chain Of Events
3. The Time And The Place
4. Anyone Can Play
5. The Old, The New And The Deadly
6. Element Of Risk
7. The Morning After
8. The Ozerov Inheritance
9. Someone Waiting
10.Greensleeves

(I attempted to say my top 5, but its impossible to pick just five of my favourite episodes, their all so brilliant)

reply

Honestly, I can't pick an episode or even list of them, it's the individual scenes that grab me, like when Danny stops to wash his hands, gloves and all, in "The Gold Napoleon." That always reduces me to hysterics. Almost every episode has a scene like that, and it is that, more than the episode itself, that I like.

Authority is the aqua regia of golden character.

reply

"Greensleeves" is my all time favourite: good plot, great guest cast, very funny jokes, and far and away the best fight scene of the entire series.

"The Long Goodbye", as probably the most original piece of writing, runs it a close second.

"Duck, I says..."

reply

Episode One without question.

That song that played over the act one car race was enough to make this a favourite.
That bit of footage almost looks like a music video before music videos were invented.

StuOz, I agree!
