Continuity Glitch

How come if Pebbles was born in 1963 (airdate time), can she be a
teenager by 1971 (airdate time). Chronologically, she would have to be
at least 8 years old, if looked at it age-wise. Not even 8 year old had
curves (despite the trend in America for underage beauty queen
pageants).

H-B execs must have picked it up eventually, but by the time Pebbles
and Bamm-Bamm did mature, the continuity was out-of-whack by showing
later Flintstones shows with the kids looking different than they were
in '71.

I don't know when the marriage of P and B-B was shown, but hopefully
the time lines were put back on the correct track.

Sorry to be picky, but i guess the kids (who watch the
cartoons)wouldn't pick up on the continuity errors.

You think too much. Thanks a lot! Now my brain hurts!!

P and B-B got "married" in 1993, so that would make her 30 years old.
Does that help? :}

And airdate time does not always reflect the time inside a cartoon, especially one that takes place over a million years in the past.

I actually did do this once as well; if Pebbles was still a baby at best by the time the show went off the air in '66, how could she be a teen-ager five years later?

And yea, the Flintstones Christmas, which was '78, wasn't it? -- Pebbles and Bamm Bamm are little kids again, as tho the teen-aged bit never took place.

AND TO FURTHER CONFUSE THINGS, There was Saturday morning Flintstones programs of the like around this time that had Pebbles and Bamm Bamm still as the teen-agers, with no hint of the Christmas kids.

Regardless of what year The Flintstones episode aired the birth of Pebbles, I don't see it as a 'glitch' in continuity when P&BB is a different show.
Pebbles wasn't born in '63 so you could pick up the story at any point in continuity.
Now if you want to talk about the gaping holes in the story...

I recommend the thread creator stay away from soap operas, some of them have much crazier examples than Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm.

I thought you were going to point out the error of Bamm Bamm becoming such a loser in this show, when he was so cool as a toddler...
