What was the maiden name of the beautiful waitress Jenny whom Dick met at the same time as he met Max, and who became Mrs. Preston?

If Dick had known Max as long as he (Dick) had known Jenny, why didn't we hear of Max until Dick switched from hosting to acting and the Prestons moved to Hollywood?
