is there any way to find dVD's of this?

Are there any DVD's of this, or is to it trapped in the same dimension as Slattery's People and East Side/West Side?

The show was not rerun because it only lasted 15 episodes and was not rerun due to that, thus it didn't become known enough to get a fanbase that wants to see it on DVD for Universal to justify making a complete series DVD set. It seems that only Yes, Minister, Spin City, DaVinci's City Hall, and The West Wing are the only shows about government to survive, become popular, and get DVD releases.

Why am I not surprised.

Sorry, sir, but the market isn't great with regards to older shows on DVD (with a few notable exceptions.) An obscure older show like The Man And The City isn't going to be put on DVD by Universal just like that unless it could guarantee a sale (remember, for there to be supply, there has to be demand-it's basic business principles.)

There were I believe 2 compilation movies made from 4 episodes which Universal syndicated, plus the pilot movie. Of course those no longer run but they were quite common in the 80s.

You can at least get the pilot movie of this series on ioffer and other assorted websites.

Your best bet, other than the 2 re-edited movies with 4 episodes, which I'm sure you have, is UCLA archives which has a complete run of the series in their archives. As far as real episodes go, I've never come across any in collectors' circles.
