Piliot and Film

Trivia: The ABC series ran from September 16, 1971 to August 10, 1972 (23 episodes) on Thursdays, 9:00 - 10:00 pm. The 90 minute film on which the series is based was replayed on ABC on September 9, 1971. The pilot originally aired on February 23, 1971 under the "ABC Tuesday Movie of the Week" umbrella.
Was there a 90 min. film ("on which the series is based") AND a piliot episode (which was 90 min)? How does the film differ?? What is the name of the film???

Sorry not to have noticed your question sooner, Lester -- hopefully you're still checking in here, but if not, I can at least answer the question for anyone else who's wondering.

The wording of that trivia question is a bit confusing. The Longstreet pilot WAS the 90-minute (minus commercials) TV movie; its title was simply Longstreet. The 23 subsequent episodes were each 60 minutes (minus commercials), for a total of 24 episodes.
