Is 1971 the correct date

I'm almost certain that this series was made in the late 50's or eary 60's ?
Are you thinking of the TV series made with Lon Chaney, Jr? This is different. A mini-series made in the early 70's in Scotland.
shareI thought it was made about 1969. I left school and started work in 1971 and I am quite sure it was shown on TV before then. Also I thought it was in Black and White and that would put it in the late 1960s.
shareI stand corrected. I 've found that it was first shown in 1971. It may have been shown just before I left school when we had an old B&W TV. I belive that copies exist in the archives but are restricted for legal reasons over copyright and actors repeat fees.
