An hour long?

It's odd how this show is an hour long on Space. I know that cutting the Wolfman segments might have something to do with this, but that would just make the show shorter. So what the hell are the splicing together to make these hour long episodes? Does this mean that were getting less content or something?

Uhh... I don't know what my point is, really. Discuss...

The shows have always been and hour long,
they were cut to half an hour for the U.S. and a laugh track added.
So no Space isn't splicing anything together

Yeah, but if the original is an hour long, and this show is an hour long but with the Wolfman music videos taken out, then what did they do differently?

I don't know either, but the Wolfman thing is driving me crazy. I would really love to see one of those segments again, and I was beginning to think that I had imagined the whole thing since I never get to see the music videos.

If it's longer commercials that are causing the problems, then they should cut some!! I'll bet this show was pretty cheap to buy anyway...

something that i have noticed is that the episodes arent always the same, some times i will have seen some clips but not others that are in the episodes, i think where they cut out the wolfman (which personally im glad they did) they replace it with a different skit.. and youll notice, the later episodes where the puppets were introduced the skits are also played with older ones that have aired in previous episodes

You have probably forgotten making this comment, but I think the reason the Wolfman segments might be cut short is due to copyright issues involving the songs he played. I remember reading about that sort of thing involving some other show. The songs on the DVDs were all sound alikes, instead of the real songs that were played when the show was on the air.

The law in 1971 didn't allow for as many commercials as they do now, so to air an "hour" show from then means it has to be cut down.

Oh, and I just heard that (Canadian law at least) is considering NOT having a law at all, and allowing broadcasters to have as many commercials as they want.
