Return of the Double Deckers

I have been thinking about an interesting movie that could bring back some found memories... that is to have the cast of the "Here Come the Double Deckers" re-unite to make a movie based on them as they are all grown up, and during the movie they could introduce an all-new set of Double Deckers, including a Fat Boy named Doughnut Jr.! Of course I realize that the cast would most likely have grand children by now, so I would form the cast of new Double Deckers be the grand children of the originals, with a Daughter of Tiger.

The Movie could be called "Return of the Double Deckers", and the new potential tv series could be called "The New Double Deckers".

I surely remember the show...i was about 7 as well..in fact I still have the LP (vinyl) album they made. I would also love to know whatever happened to "Tiger"
as well.
With all the junk that is in repeats, I dunno why they dont show this on some cable channel...as for the theme song...I am sure it is out there somewhere.
The DVD's have already been released - you can find them on eBay.

Am trying to find the doubledeckers on DVD but can't find it ebay.. are you sure it's been released??

To find them on eBay, search as two words:

Double Deckers

So far there are only bootlegs, it's never been officially released, but a couple sellers seem to have nice quality sets. Note that both the IMDB and the official doubledeckers.com website say there are 17 episodes yet some ebay sellers say "All 16 episodes!" so keep an eye out.

One more thing - IMDB says each episode was 20 minutes in the UK, but 30 minutes in the USA, so you might want to check that too with the seller before buying.

I'd imagine the 30 mins in the US included commercials, which we didn't have in the UK as they aired on the BBC.

Just been watching it on DVD. Included interview with Brinsley Forde and Michael Audreson-Brains now built more like Doughnut!
