Peevly's cousin?

Has anyone else noticed that Eustace P. Peevly from 'Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch!' looks suspiciously like Claude Pertwee from 'Where's Huddles?'?

Yeah I've noticed that too. It is simply from Hanna-Barbera only having a limited number of artists and like a thousand shows. Those guys could only draw people so many ways. I'm sure the same character designer made both. There are tons of things like that in Hanna-Barbera land. Look at Dick Dastardly and Muttley compared to The Dread Baron and Mumbly. When they made these shows, there were always more toons coming out so they weren't re-run a ton quite yet, and the people working on them didn't know they would be watched and analyzed for years to come. They figured people forgot about or didnt see one character by the time his clone came along. Going back further to theatrical toons of the 40's/50's there are toons that are downright copies of other toons, but made 15 years apart, and seeing as they stayed in theaters a few months and not even all theaters got the same toons, they thought people wouldn't notice. Little did they know that cartoon dorks like me would be watching all their work back to back on DVD and on Booomerang, making such things obvious. But with the foresight they had on their work, it made sense to re-use things after a while. There are lots of Hanna-Barbera characters that look like Mr. Slate from the Flintstones and also Cogswell and Spacely from the Jetsons. I could find dozens of instances where they used what looks like the same drawing in different shows.

Not only that but John Stephenson, that did the voice of him, sounded like he was trying to impersonate Joe Flynn...
