'Best Of' volume 1, hard to find?

Besides Amazon, I haven't seen the first boxed set in stores... my copy is a battered one that I found in a used CD store. (I have, however, been able to get a brand new version of Vol. 2.)

So, did they discontinue it or something? From reading the less-than-happy reviews (repeatedly pointing out Shout's horrid choice of trailers and the inclusion of the hilarious but very kid-unfriendly outtakes), I figured that might have been the culprit... because, as you may have noticed, the trailers on volume 2 are all related to Electric Company in some way, and there are no outtakes whatsoever.

(I would like to defend this by saying that, despite what two inflammatory reviews noted, Rita did NOT call Judy a 'slut' in the Cinderella outtake - she called her a 'country clot', which she also calls her in the version of the sketch that made it to air.)

And yet, no one finds fault with Lee Chamberlin running a restaurant called 'Finger Lickin' Ribs and Chicken' and selling a seafood dish called 'Porgy and Bass'? ;-)

You can find Volume 1 anywhere in the US, since it’s distributed by Sony BMG. You might have to special order it, though. What made me angry about Volume 2 is that they altered some of the episodes. There’s no excuse for that. Peace.
