Did your teacher let you watch the Electric Company durring school ?
Did your teacher let your class watch the Electric Company durring school ?
If so where were you and what were your memories of the expierence ?
Here is what I remember.
It was 1974-75, I was a first grader at WoodStock School in Portland. Oregon.
My Teacher Mrs Miller used to walk us to a room accross the hallway,
Where we would meet with Mrs Wagoners class.
Together the classrooms would sit on the floor and watch TEC.
I remember everyone would cheer when LetterMan and Spiderman came on.
I also remember the time, when the Hot Shot Skit came on with the black kid using everything
to shoot baskets (Like the his pajamas into the laundry hamper, Tossing Bread into the shopping
bakset at the grocery store, etc).
The class went insane (That skit was so brilliantly put together) everyone was singing and cheering.
I remember my friend Wesely getting all excited and saying "I'm a hot shot too".
I also remember Mrs Talbot allowed us watch the show in 2nd grade.
I remember the whole class getting together buy the TV set so we could use a shoe box tape recorder
to tape the sound of a spider man sketch.
Then everyone was all excited and laughing, while a group of us played it back later.
It was the episode where the baseball player was about to catch a pop fly.
Part of the wall came loose and walked over and knocked the guy out.
Spider Man showed up and shot the wall guy with a web.
I remember the class roaring ith laughter, when we heard the ball player get up, all dazed and say
"Hubba, Hubba".
Those are two of many happy TEC memories,
What are yours ?
What school were you at the time ?
What state, what year ?
Most of all what are your personel memories ?
Or related stories ?
