As this film was made after the series had started on TV, why did Robin Asquith and not Robin Stewart play Mike in the film? Plus, why weren't Anthony Jackson and Patsy Rowlands the neighbours? It's always bugged me!
re this nonfactual posting the remarks could possibly have been taken from a book that was written a few years ago by a journalist of no repute and less creditability so sad to read this as it is so far from the truth,
in fact the book BEING MIKE ABBOTT will be out by the 16 of December with comments from the James family who are still old friends as was Sid until his sad demise, there was an author who cast aspersions on the whole family and refuses to answer his emails or account for his writings i will be talking about him very soon on air and i am giving him every chance to explain his unkind and running very close to the wind remarks. some people have to stoop to low mini sensationalism to get there cash flow up and running,
shame as it gives researchers and true talented journalists and writers a very bad name. facts are so much better than relying on hurtful garbage to make a living.
please don't make unkind statements about people who are not on the planet just to pay the rent there's a good chap. Regards Robin Stewart.
All kool check out being mike abbott on facebook, hope you like the page and if so pass it arround, regards Robin and thank you for the interest very much appreciated,

Great to see the original and best Mike Abbott here. I always preferred you to Robin Asqwith in that role. Couldn't get past seeing him as a window cleaner. Loved Bless This House in the 70s when I was a kid. Anything with the great Sid James in was always great. RESPECT to you all.
