never see it on tv now not much talk either too bad

It's not a politically correct crap fest. So, it's never brought up anymore. A lot of the subjects that were made fun of on this show have become the rallying cry of the progressive left. Sad, but true.

I have Verizon. It’s on every night for two hours on getTV.

Maybe twentysomethings don't know anything about it, but I see it constantly mentioned in stuff looking back on pop culture 50 years ago. There was a retrospective edition from Time recently devoted entirely to the show. Just two years ago, CBS scored a hit when they did those live versions of AITF and The Jeffersons even though they were both cringe-inducing. (Woody Harrelson as Archie and Marisa Tomei as Edith???! WTF!) If TV Land isn't showing it, that doesn't mean it's been forgotten. It only means key demographics prefer to see the shows they were raised on like King of Queens, Friends, Two and a Half Men, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Golden Girls.

Geesh, I hoped you were joking about the live version but I found it on Youtube. You are right. That really is cringe.

The Jeffersons live recreating the first episode was a little better but still pretty bad.

Recording technology and mass releases of material starting with VHS in the late 1980's on up to DVD's today means fans can get as much of their favorite program as they want. They do not need to wait for broadcasts of their favorite shows. True with about any older show so there is far less revenue to be had by showing it on a television network.
