Childhood Memories

Having only just this week managed to watch Alias Smith and Jones on Dvd (first time I have seen it since it was originally screened in 1971/72), the memories have just come flooding back. I was only about four at the time and remember sitting watching it with my father - he loved westerns and I loved horses - and I remember him saying to me that Pete Duel had killed himself. At four years of age, that didn't make a huge impression at the time but having re-watched the episodes this week, there is just the overwhelming realisation of what a great actor Pete was and what a huge shock it must have been to his family, friends and fans when he died.
